Gemius: nra.lv achieved the highest audience growth among all news portals in March

The nra.lv portal has achieved the largest audience growth in March, both in the overall statistics and in mobile traffic, according to the top 20 most visited websites by Latvian internet users published by the international internet research and technology company Gemius.

After the shortest month of the year, February, the portal nra.lv achieved the largest increase in audience from all types of devices in March, with an increase of 65,000 users, reaching 640,000 real users from Latvia in March, allowing it to move up one position in the list, overtaking apollo.lv. Among mobile users, nra.lv also saw the biggest increase in audience - by 60,000 users, reaching 593,000 readers in March and moving up one place to sixth position in the ranking.

The topic of war changed the traffic of top news sites

As usual, the top 20 is topped by the news portal delfi.lv, which was visited by 887,000 internet users on all devices - computers, mobile phones and tablets - in March, 3,000 more than in February. Inbox.lv's audience grew by 33,000 users last month to a total of 772,000 real users, while tvnet.lv is in third place with 742,000 readers, 8,000 fewer than the previous month. Two other top sites have swapped places - with 17,000 more users than in February, jauns.lv has moved up to fourth position with 713,000 readers, leaving behind the public media news portal lsm.lv, which was visited by 704,000 readers in March, 27,000 fewer than in February.

Among the top websites, sportacentrs.com saw the biggest drop in audience in March, with 55,000 fewer users than in February, while apollo.lv also saw a 50,000 drop, with 541,000 readers in March, and spoki.lv saw 17,000 fewer users than in February, with 268,000 users across all devices combined. In March, press.lv and sportazinas.com returned to the top, while diena.lv and liepajniekiem.lv left the top.

Most popular website in Latvia - Google

Like last year, the website of the State Revenue Service vid.gov.lv joined the top as the seventh most visited site from computers in March, which was visited by 434,000 computer users in the first month of the annual income declaration submission, 214,000 more than in February. The seb.lv website also returned to the top in March with 265,000 users, while apollo.lv and microsoft.com left the top.

Google remained the number one most visited website from computers in March, with 1,034,000 real users from computers, 15,000 more than the previous month. It is followed by youtube.com with the biggest drop in audience among the top sites, down by 51,000 users to 743,000 real users in March, while Facebook rounds off the top 3 with 645,000 users (28,000 less than in February). The fourth place is occupied by the local website inbox.lv with 572,000 users in March, 19,000 more real users than in February, and the top five is rounded off by swedbank.lv with 559,000 users, 36,000 more than in February.

The battle between media groups

Among media groups, the DELFI group was in first place in March, with delfi.lv, including calis.lv, atverskapi.lv, mansdraugs.lv, tavsdarzs.lv, bilesuparadize.lv, Delfi TV, as well as the mobile application, which were visited by 903,000 or 61% of Latvian internet users. Meanwhile, the TVNET group, or data on the tvnet.lv (including receptes.lv), spoki.lv and apollo.lv portals, as well as statistics on the tvnet.lv, apollo.lv and rus.tvnet.lv apps, reached 854,000 real users last month (24,000 fewer than in February) and 57% of Latvian internet users.

The Rīgas Viļņi media group with its websites jauns.lv, including otkrito.lv or rus.jauns.lv, rigasvilni.lv, zurnali.lv, as well as data on jauns.lv streaming, reached 713,000 real users and 48% of internet users last month, which is 17,000 more than in the previous month. Achieving the highest growth among the groups, the la.lv/TV24 group with la.lv, lrtv.lv and tv24.lv reached 669,000 real users and 45% of internet users in February. The TV3 media group, which includes data on tv3.lv, play.tv3.lv video and starfm.lv streaming, as well as the tv3play.lv app, reached 39% or 581,000 Latvian internet users last month.
